Creative people need to be inspired. If you aren't inspired your writing will be flat and uninspiring. What do you do if inspiration feel elusive? Inspiration is all around you. Calm your mind and listen. Memories can often inspire, things that you know and situations you've experienced; just let them run through your mind. Even the things you would rather forget. Take an honest look at them and listen to your heart, it will speak to you, deeply, honestly. Use what you've experienced and remembered as a source of inspiration. Use the lessons life has taught you. Open your eyes, the most common and mundane things can fuel your creative engine. Pick out an object and just begin to write about it. Take a walk in nature, I dare you not to be inspired.
